On October 15th Lydia Milleker taught a class on creating beautiful Christmas stockings. She's an excellent and patient teacher and all of us students progressed nicely. The photo of me (Brenda) is a scam though ... I'm not finished my stocking; rather, I am posing with Lydia's stocking.
Don't forget the library kindly lets us use their programming room for quilting each Monday from 9:30 until 3:30. It's a great place to be! We see what everyone is working on, we share ideas, and try to solve each other's problems. Drop in; you'll love it too.
For the third straight year we were blessed with wonderful fall weather for our dyeing day. Our group was small but mighty and we experimented with a variety of dyeing techniques, including creating batiks with wax heated on the barbeque!
It was good to see so many quilters out for the first meeting. The meeting contained lots of good information, but, of course, we were really there to see all the show-and-tell. Here's a sampling:
